KOOKA'S HOMEPAGE
Well here we go again...... attempt number ....never mind. This time I have finally managed to put somethig together that might, one day resemble a homepage. Let me introduce myself for those of you fortunate enough not to know me.

My computer name is Kooka and I am a 38 year old female, originally born in Tasmania but now living 2 and a half hours north of Sydney
Originally born in Hobart Tasmania, I now live 2 and a half hours north of Sydney Australia in a little coastal town called Lemon Tree Passage, part of the Tilligerry Peninsula. Billed as the "Koala Capital of New South Wales, the Tilligerry peninsula lies at the western end of Port Stephens. Tilligerry is said to mean "Pelicans". Lemon Tree Passage, once called Kooindah or "Clear Water" was renamed because of the lemon groves found by early visitors to the area. The word passage in the name refers to the use of the waterways for travel north.

I am fortunate enough to have the water at my back door which enables me to spend a fair bit of time passing the hours away indulging in one of my favourite pastimes...FISHING. Talking of fish, I share my house with Henry my goldfish who I think is getting close to setting an Australian record for the oldest goldfish ever to grace an inside tank...10 years old and still swimmiing.

The other occupants of my abode are 3 australian possums who insist on wearing army boots whilst they practice their marathon running(often after midnight)around my roof. I also have frequent visits neibourhood delinqent Koala's who like to let you know they are around, specially at 3am!!!

I am "semi-retired" from 20 years in the Royal Australian Air Force thanks to their gift of a disectomy and a spinal fusion....lets just say the fight continues.

Since being forced into an early retirement, I have discovered the pleasure of IRC (Internet Relay Chat). I was fortunate enough to stumble apon the best little chat group in MIRC. It is called #25to45_clean_chat. I would advise anyone just starting out looking for a friendly place for clean chat to pay us a visit. If you are looking for trouble or an arguement, this is not the channel for you. It is monitored and swearing or hassling people is just not allowed. I have met some wonderful people online and in person through this great channel. This picture shows a group get together just last New Year. In the picture we have Mr Invisible from Sydney, ISIS from Brisbane, Undecided from England, Jezza from Newcastle, DJ from England and Bobbalinda from Sydney. We had all been chatting for a year or more and have managed to meet on a couple of occassions. There are so many great people in this channel I wouldinvite you all to drop on in and say HI. Watch out for Eilonwy, RocketJSquirrel, Stu, Dingo, Leontoo47, Ladybird, Lucky, Verna, Vanman and Clips, Pizzapro and Pleasant, all wonderful people that are bound to make you welcome. When I work out how I will post some photographs of them all for you to see. I will also put a link at the end of this page so you can download MIRC..then there is no excuse for not dropping in for a chat

IRC - Or Online Chatting for the Novice
NOW THATS A FISH!!!!!! Apart from talking on ICQ and spending hours trying to over come "Technophobia" with my computer, I like to spend time fishing. I guess living next to the water as I do allows me to partake in this hobby when the urge takes me. I dabble a little in woodwork, prefering the rustic work. I recently completed a bed which I made from a gum tree that had fallen down up the road. No sense in letting a good tree go to waste...LOL

Before moving to Lemon Tree Passage, I spent some years working part time with a great Sydney Band called Tomie and The Boys. Stay tuned as I am sure we will be hearing great things form this great Rock and Soul Band.
These days I no longer engineer for them but have taken up the position as number one fan and part time photographer (when they are desperate!!!) Again check the links below for the latest news from them.

Other interests include waffling on about Tasmania, Watching TV especially anything involving Star Trek and a little reading. i do have other interests, but you have probably nodded off by now anyway so we might leave it there........ Again dont forget to take a online Virtual Tour of Tasmania through the link below.
